One week of being anti-social

It’s not as difficult as I thought it would be.

I stopped checking and posting on Facebook and Instagram beginning this Sunday, and I have been able to stay away so yay me! If you have seen updates on Facebook, it’s because I have set my blog to publish on my Facebook wall too. If you have left comments on my blog’s mirrored posts and I have not replied back, it’s not because I am ignoring you. I just haven’t seen your comment. Yes, notifications were turned off too.

It has been an interesting week and I like it. I find I have more time to do other things which I have taken for granted before, or ignored completely because I was busy checking my newsfeed or looking at comments on Instagram.

I have also been able to meet and surpass my self-imposed quote of 6 hours of sleep every night. Every day since Sunday. That’s one of the main reasons why I have been less grouchy this past week.

So, in summary, I believe I can keep going and not feel cut off or deprived. Not having my phone in my face every chance I get had given me back valuable minutes to do other more important things. I like that very much.
