A little while ago, Dieuwke ran a KAL in her Ravelry group. Anyone who signed up to knit Hallow Moon gets the pattern for free. It’s a neat little shawl with knitted on i-cord on either edging. It does tend to get a little hairy at first but once you get the hang of it, you’re good to go. Also, Dieuwke created a simple, concise video tutorial for the i-cord technique so you won’t have to struggle to figure it out on your own.
The DVM Designs forum on Ravelry is a great place to find support and also marvel at the many colour combinations possible for Hallow Moon. I made mine using The Plucky Knitter Primo Fingering for the main colour. It’s a nice shade of neutral so I went ahead with the brighter wedge contrast colours. Still not as bright as others but I’m not really adventurous with colour combinations. Thanks to Eliza for always making my FOs look more amazing than they really are.
Mine is a shallow shawl, more like a shawlette, but you can make it wider/deeper by knitting with a larger gauge or adding more increases before starting the wedges. I think it would be really nice and cozy if you use thicker yarn. I can just imagine getting squished by softness and keeping warm at the same time. Oh and the possibility of colour combinations is endless!
