I made it!
Living on whey protein shakes, cod liver oil and water for an entire week is something I never would have thought possible. But I did it. And I have great results. More than I could have ever expected.
My mindset had to be adjusted, from expecting three meals a day with a snack in between for most of my life and cutting it down to practically nothing but essentials is not a small feat. But it’s my goal that pushed me to keep going.
I admit there were temptations along the way, but it helped to bring my goal into focus and stay away from anything that will ruin what I have worked so hard for. I want to lose weight. I want to feel better about myself. I want to look better. And maybe it’s shallow, but I know that achieving these will make me just that bit happier.
Having lost a total of 5kg this past week is something that I only imagined before. But now that I did it, and without killing myself in the gym or starving, I know that the next 5kg, or the next 10kg is not beyond my reach anymore.
Tomorrow, a new chapter begins and I can’t wait.
