Lately it’s been micro-blogging on Facebook and Instagram and, frankly, it can get tiresome after a while. Anyway, it’s been ages since I’ve done a post like this. Could just be the ticket to get me blogging regularly again.
But before that, a bit of self-promotion. Ahem. In case you haven’t checked it out yet, Knitter’s Choice Club sign-ups are open.
My great start in knitting and finishing up WIPs this early year has sort of slowed down considerably. It’s picking back up again as I have deadlines, esp for this pair of bright-ass yellow socks for a sock swap.
Pattern is Kai-Mei by Cookie A and yarn is MCN Sock by Indigodragonfly in the fun colourway called Dawn’s in Trouble, Must Be Tuesday. I am loving this knit! It has always scared me because the butterfly lace looks really complicated, but well it’s not. Just clever shaping around the heel and foot to get the pattern to flow just right. I love it!
And another pair of socks. While I knit mostly on the Kai-Mei, when I find time I knit on this “design” I am working on using The Knitting Goddess 4-ply Superwash BFL. The skein was a gift from a swap with Ruth, the very first Amiras swap if I remember correctly. The design will be free, and will hopefully be published real soon. Just working out numbers.
Ooh both of these are lovely! Can’t wait to see what design you come up with!
