Yesterday, I showed you this nearly finished pair of socks.
Thanks to a great, yet frustrating, episode of Game of Thrones, I finished the pair.
Presenting my Walk Now socks. Knitted in my own hand-dyed, Dubai Knits Chameleon in colourway Sea Breeze.
This is the old 100% superwash merino base. Due to supply issues, I have had to find another supplier for my Chameleon yarn base and I decided on a 75% superwash merino/25% nylon blend which has a generous 435 yards per skein. Still squishy and still very much affordable.
The pattern gives you different options on how to knit the instep/top of the foot. I chose the plain ribbed pattern which is taken right down to the end of the toes. It’s been a breeze knitting the second sock. The pattern is predictable and very intuitive. I enjoyed knitting this so much. Thanks, Carrie for the wonderful opportunity of test-knitting for you once again.
Carrie works with children with autism so naturally she supports anything and everything to do with raising awareness of the disorder and providing assistance for those affected by it. Part of the sale proceeds of her Walk Now pattern is donated to Autism Speaks. You still have until the end of today to buy the pattern and help a very worthy cause. Go here to buy the pattern now.
