Does anyone else admire the yarn ends and ties that come with the skeins? It surprises me every time just how much more saturated those bits of yarn are than the actual skein! I find the same when I dye my own yarn and sometimes end up with the ties taking in more colour than the yarn I’m dyeing.
Take these bits of yarn from the Tosh 80/10/10 MCN I wound last week. It’s Tart of course and see just how rich they are! Well the skeins are equally rich anyway but I almost didn’t throw these away, but then I realized I have way too much coloured string to stash bits and ends. Sigh.
Just before I stopped working, I received this box o’ wonderful from Indigodragonfly in Canada. Six skeins of their beautiful MCN Sock base in the Buffy Collection.
The colours are rich and saturated and very well done. Kim’s colour sense is spot on when it comes to the names of the colourways, which are funny and captures the essence of the characters of the TV show very well. Kim has these available in small batches an din other yarn bases so make sure you check out her shop.
