Nom nom

It’s not Friday yet, but I just have to show you this stash now.

I bought a bag (5 skeins) of undyed Malabrigo Sock over a year ago with the intention of custom dyeing it for myself and knitting a sweater out of it. Well, after months of procrastination and dilemma over colour choices, but mostly procrastination, I have done it. I dyed the suckers! What do you think?

My stock of undyed skeins are dwindling (more are on order for the shop) and I was running out of yarn to dye so I grabbed the Mmmmalabrigos and a tub of the newly purchased Blue Spruce acid dye. Yumm-o! I purposely dyed them in a semi-solid shade.

Plans? Umm, Adrift by Carol Feller comes to mind. With 3/4 length sleeves. I have over 2000 yards so this could work. Also Creature Comforts Cardi by Madelinetosh, which fellow Amira Monika knitted in the same yarn base. It would be interesting since the pattern is for worsted weight. If I did Creature Comforts, I will have to adjust needle size and knit two sizes larger to compensate for the light fingering weight yarn. I don’t want to hold it double.

Personally, I’m leaning more towards Adrift.

  1. Love the color! It reminds me of 80’s Denim. The Second pattern if beautiful. I am sure what ever it finds its self being knit into will be great!

  2. Ahh, gorgeousness! You know how I love the semisolids. Adrift will be beautiful and so will Creature Comforts. Decisions, decisions 😉
