I finished another hat for Nash recently but forgot to blog about it. It’s colourwork, sort of. Thanks to Charmaine for the pattern for this one. I have always loved the blue and chocolate version she made for her son Felix and wanted to knit one for my grandson. So here is Rainbow Hat.
Don’t look too closely though as there were some brain farts on the colour switches. One thing I did change on this though is to kitchener the ends instead of using a 3-needle bind off. I like it this way.
I didn’t go overboard with the tassels, just a bit, enough to make it playful. I cannot wait to see Nash wearing this one.
Project: Rainbow Hat (Raveled!)
Pattern: Chocqua by Amanda Keeys
Yarn: Crystal Palace Yarns Bunny Hop Print & Solid
Colorway: Circus and Black
How much: 1 skein = 113.0 yards
Needle: US 6 – 4.0 mm
Cast on: 12 Apr 2011
Cast off: 21 Apr 2011
Notes: The join is a bit tight since I was conscious of changing yarn and must have been tugging extra hard. It was an otherwise enjoyable knit. I want to try this again esp as it is great for using up leftover yarn.
