This past weekend, I took out the triangle Piddleloop bag with me. It’s very handy and stylish too. I definitely want more. That’s an Emirates Airline plane in the background ready to touchdown on home ground.
Inside the bag is this mystery shawl from Feministy called Roxanne. Liz released Clue #2 on Thursday evening but I only started it yesterday and, in this photo, managed only one and a half repeat so far.
It’s only the second mystery shawl KAL I’ve signed up for and the only one I am having fun with. The first one was a bit meh. Anyway, this one is way more fun. There’s lace, cables and garter stitch going on all over but it’s far from daunting or boring. Also the yarn is making this so much more interesting.
The other WIP taking my attention this week is my second pair for the Super Special Six Pattern Sock Club, SSSPSC. This is my Nutkins, almost done, done only the foot to go. This pair might even be finished before I get to post this entry!
I brought it along to the mall/cinema yesterday where we saw Hop. It’s a great, fun movie – perfect for the kids. But it will make me think twice about eating jellybeans again.
And a little shop plug can’t hurt right? I’ve been dyeing regularly, small batches, and trying out different techniques, although the skeins probably don’t show it. This is my favourite batch so far: reds! I sort of managed to get the colour right in this shot and frankly I want to keep every skein here for myself. But alas, this is going to the shop.
LOVE that sea of red! I’m still on the hunt for the perfect pattern for my Fruit Punch Chameleon!!
