You would think that with two extra days off work I would be on top of this blog. But no, all I have done is upload photos, save drafts and leave them there. I have so much stuff to show and share with you but finding time to write words to go with the photos is proving to be difficult.
Let’s take it nice and slow then and start with the hat I finished last week.
This is my second Koolhaas hat, this time in Malabrigo Worsted. Or shall I say Mmmmalabrigo? 🙂 It feels good to finish this one, albeit with some mishaps and modifications.
I completely forgot to change needles after the ribbing so the entire thing is done on 4mm. Not really a bad thing I think since the yarn still grew after blocking. I was extra careful not to agitate since Malabrigo felts so easily. I also did an extra repeat of the lattice pattern so it’s a taller hat, which was alright because it meant that it would fit my husband.
It’s a great project all around and one that I am most glad to complete before Christmas. I’m also pleased to use up this yarn which was part of my very first Ravelry swap. It’s hand-dyed too! Here’s a bad phone cam photo of me trying the hat on in the ladies’ room. it fits, but it’s a bit big.
