WIP-tastic Monday

Once you pop, you can’t stop!

Not talking about potato chips here, but the Koolhaas Hat pattern. I di dmy first ever Koolhaas recently and got to talking about it in the Amiras forum in Ravelry. I may have enabled fellow Amiras, or at least one of them, to knit the hat so we’re doing a year-end KAL. Not just Koolhaas but any project that anyone wants to knit and hopefully finish before the end of the year.

I was going to use Bugga! for this but held single strand it was too thin and doubled it was too thick. And fiddly too with the non-cable needle technique. So I frogged that and fell back on good ol’ Malabrigo Worsted. I got this hand-dyed skein from my very first ever Ravelry swap and have never found the right project for it until now.

This tiny bit of cast on and beginnings of a ribbing have now grown and includes two repeats of the lattice pattern. I had no time to take a new photo before posting. Hopefully next time you see this, it will be done, washed, blocked and dried!

  1. Hanging my head in shame with my still unfinished Koolhaas. Christmas knitting has kicked my Kool moo out, but it will be back – SOON!
