The last yarn club I signed up for 2010 is the Madelinetosh Yarn Club. It’s probably the last one I will sign up for as well since I plan to go on a diet and then stashdown from 2011 onwards. There was a delay in the shipment arriving to me since it was sent direct to Dubai instead of my Shop&Ship address in New York.

This is 80/10/10 MCN in a lovely colourway called Smokey Orchid. Not sure if this is sport or worsted weight though as the label does not say. But I think it’s sport because I got the worsted in the Sweater Club and it is a lout sproingier than this.


Not sure what to knit with this yet, maybe an infinity scarf and matching handwarmers? Someone contacted me on Ravelry asking if I would be willing to trade this shipment with the jewel tone Laurent. It is a blue colourway, I think similar to Avonlea I think. Not sure about a swap but will think about it.

I visited one of our LYS’s here in Dubai recently, to help Melissa with her Amiras Swap package and couldn’t resist picking up two balls of DROPS Lin. It was on 50% sale and comes with a nice market bag pattern for free.

There were a few colourways to choose from, including a rich bronze/orange one which was so tempting but I decided to go with this purple one. It’s muted but still pretty with the sheen. I started the market bag a few days ago and working it on metal DPNs, yeah slippery and tedious so I set it aside for another time.
