Club Dragon Witch

I love receiving parcels in the mail. Esp when it has yarn in it. Duh.

I have been on a self-imposed yarn diet for a few months now. That means no buying yarn off the shelf. Everything that I am receiving now comes from clubs which I subscribed to either late last year or earlier this year. Plus yarn which I acquire through other means. 🙂

This is the latest installment from Club Dragon Witch. Four down, two more to go. Here is the entire package: yarn, pattern, sweet and a little extra something.

This time the yarn is a merino/bamboo/nylon blend from Dragonfly Fibers. Beautifully rich and dark greens which has a nice lustre from the bamboo. It’s got generous yardage too so I’m sure this will become a shawl instead of socks.

The pattern looks interesting though. It’s a pair of socks called Norbert, which is the same name as the colourway. All I could think of when I saw the name was a certain Norwegian Ridgeback! I have never had Lemon Heads before so this is intriguing. Is it sweet? Is it sour? Or something in between?

Kate included a set of 2 stitch markers in the first Dragonfly Fibers shipment of the club with a label saying part 1 of 3. So now that it’s her turn again, we have two more stitch markers with snag-free loops by the way, and a label that says Part 2 of 3. What could the final part bring indeed?

I love this club, it’s different for starters since there are two dyers alternating shipments so you can never guess what’s coming in the mail next!

In other news, I have received a very special skein of yarn the other day and thought I’d share it here but it is so special that it deserves its own very special post. Tune in later for the reveal.
