WIP-tastic Monday

You may have seen such stuff in the blogosphere.
Wordless Wednesday. Friday’s Flowers. Tabby Tuesday. WiP Wednesday.

I’m sure there are others out there but the above are examples from my blog reading list. I always look forward to these posts because I know they will be there at the same time, every week. And they have become a fixed part of my life. That’s a big thing to say but it’s true.

Who wouldn’t want to see Calvin and Ripple’s antics every week, huh? Or the pretty flowers that Gail finds on her walks every Friday?

So I decided to start my own regular series of blog posts. Welcome to the first edition of WIP-tastic Monday.

And what better WIP to start with than my latest. This is a Tiny Tea Leaves Cardigan for my niece Isabelle. She is 4 years old and loves pink. At least I think she still does. I separated for the sleeves last night and now have about 5 inches of the body.

I cast on this project last Friday, as soon as the Little Shells was done and just kept knitting. I hope to finish it this week, block it and give it to her on Friday. Miles of stockinette seem like a piece of cake when you have just 115 stitches on the needles.

I’m using Cascade 220, not Superwash I’m afraid, in the colourway Tutu. I have 3 skeins of this and only just joined in the second skein. Maybe I’ll throw in a felted shoulder pouch or something to compliment her new cardigan. We’ll see.

  1. I’m a big fan of routine. I will look forward to your Monday posts! The sweater is so cute. Superwash or not, it’s sure to be well loved.
