It’s a corny subject title but that’s what it was. It felt nice having finished a project which I have queued since I began knitting.
It felt nice finishing this as a tag team. The recipient, my daughter Viel, helped me knit the 60-foot garter stitch strap. I could not have done this without her help.
It felt nice having done a project which required seaming and then successfully seaming it without losing my mind!
Finally, it felt nice having a finished project which looks like how it should and is slowly becoming a favourite.
She’ll kill if for posting this but I think it’s cute.
Project: Slanted Rose (Raveled)
Pattern: Slant Pocket Bag by Melissa Thetford
Yarn: Malabrigo Worsted
Colourway: Damask Rose, took about 2.25 skeins
Needle: 5.5mm
Cast on: 2 Mar 2010
Cast off: 21 Apr 2010
Notes: I single-crocheted the strap onto the sides and bottom of the bag and I whip-stitched the pocket onto the sides and bottom. Only took one cycle with jeans and towels to get this felted look.
60-ft strap is no small feat! Bravo Viel, she so deserves this bag!!
