…one more to go!
The first of the Jaywalkers is finished. I just closed off the toe using Kitchener stitch. Not so much of a nightmare actually. Thanks to Theresa’s technique!
I was so afraid that I would run out of yarn before the toe was finished! This is how much yarn I had left from the first skein.
The sock looks small but when I put it on it’s just perfect. The heel flap does not bunch up at the top of the ankle like most people have said it does. It’s not a very stretchy pattern so next time I do this I will use a yarn with a bit more elasticity. But I love love love it!
I am working on the second sock ASAP. I actually started the cuff a while ago but put it on hold as i have so many projects happening at the same time.
One of them is for the Worldwide Christmas Stocking Swap at Ravelry. I’ve finished my stocking for my swapee, but cannot post it anywhere in case she checks my blog. I don’t want to ruin the surprise for her. I am waiting on a few items to include as stocking filling and then I will send her care package. I hope she likes it.
I’m also working on a scarf for my mother-in-law, the Clapotis which I am not sure yet if I will give to anyone or keep or myself, my shrug, the wristwarmers for S and A which have been ripped and knitted more times than Sam Winchester has pouted in the last few episodes of Supernatural.
Speaking of which, holy guacamole, episode 3 is awesome! I don’t want to say anything in case it spoils it for some people, but OMG! Every SPN fan must watch it again, and again…and again. Lee, did you hear Dean’s heart breaking at the same time as his tears started falling? I could just hug him then!
Ahem, enough with the fangirling. Time for bed. See you later.
