I’ve been on a spree!

I have been naughty. When we returned from our holiday and my husband saw my yarn stash, he said I was forbidden from buying any more until I consume at least half of it. I had to promise despite my trepidation. But…and it is a big but…any self-respecting knitter or crafter would not be able to resist a good sale. So I have been buying. Again.

Let’s take a look at my loot, shall we?

Julia of Fricknits offered quite a few goodies from her stas h recently in support of the Washington Post’s Send a Kid to Camp campagin. You can read about it in her blog. I found her blog through Google Reader and I saw the words “buy” and “stash” and I fell for it. I bought all of her Rowan Cotton Glace! These photos are all by Julia, I just uploaded them to my blog.

These are the light blues and navy blues. I’m thinking of using the light blue for Grumperina’s Picovoli, not sure if it would be the right kind of yarn but the colour is just perfect for it.

The yummy raspberries could turn into a shrug or a vest.

These lovely purple hues were the first ones to catch my eye. I just know that I want to make a shrug out of the lighter shade.
After much fiddling around with PayPal, the order is set and Julia is sending me my new stash.

My trusty friends over at Make1Yarns are sending me a bunch of Brown Sheep Lamb’s Pride Worsted in Medieval Red which will be knit up as Seamus.

I just love Tencel and this new yarn from Premier looks perfect. Shown here in Tawny Port, this will probably be knit up as a skinny scarf or a vest for one of my girls.

I just discovered The Knitting Zone. They have fabulous yarns on close out so I snatched up a few which will be knit up as hats for family members. This is Little Big Wool in Quartz and Amber.
And this is Maxi in Sky Blue and Dark Blue.
There. That should last me through a few months. I hope!
